Meet the Founder
Dr. Jasmine Leigh Morse is a multi-talented author, speaker, educator, award-winning community leader, and founder of JLM Global Consulting, LLC and Girl Go Global, a community for purpose-driven women. Dr. Jasmine is known for her innovative and creative ability to offer fresh perspectives, develop insightful content, and empowering keynotes, lectures, and training workshops. Merging her quick-witted and fun personality, with her keen ability to weave multi-layered messages has opened many doors for her.
When Dr. Jasmine is not writing, preparing lecture notes, mentoring women and girls, volunteering, or traveling, she is known as a highly regarded senior advisor, who has earned top recognition for her professional accomplishments. Throughout her 20+ year career, she has served in a number of capacities, include but not limited to: speechwriter, adjunct professor, workshop facilitator, and trainer. She has also managed high-level projects for executive leadership at large organizations. In addition to making the Daily Record’s Successful by 40 Very Important Professionals list, she is a 2016 President’s Management Council Fellow.
Most notably, she was honored to accept a number of service awards, including a Community Service award from the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club, Inc. She has also been pleased to serve as a member of the American Diabetes Association Young Leaders of Maryland. To date, she is a member of the Baltimore County Social Services Advisory Board.
Dr. Jasmine also considers herself a lifelong scholar with research interests in black feminist thought and women’s studies. She has served on the faculty at Morgan State and Coppin State Universities. She is a proud graduate of Morgan State, earning both her B.A. and Ph.D. in English, with concentrations in creative writing, African-American literature, and women’s studies. She earned her M.A. in Liberal Studies from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She lives in Maryland with her husband.
